Greens, Swiss Chard Bright Lights
55 days. Both the leaves and colored stems of this Chard mix are edible. This cousin of spinach is delicious steamed, stir fried, baked into casseroles or creamed (the French way to eat it). Harvest leaves as needed all season long by breaking stems off at the base. Pick largest outside leaves first. New growth comes from the center. Never harvest more than half of the plant at once. Will withstand a couple frosts in the fall.
